The Opportunity
Large lounge chairs are often bulky, immobile and visually overpowering. Their scale makes them difficult to move, transport, adapt and repair, creating furniture that is built to be stationary rather than flexible.
The Solution
Yoke reimagines a lounge chair as a set of independent soft and hard components. A circular steel frame provides structure, while foam wrapped cylindrical cushions slot and bolt into place for comfort, replacement and long term care.
