Speaker Bot is a compact Bluetooth speaker inspired by classic wind-up robot toys. With its toy-like silhouette and playful mechanical details, it brings character and charm to everyday listening. The volume is adjusted via a wind-up-style knob on top, while the power switch is cleverly activated by pushing the right arm forward. LED eyes light up when the speaker is on, giving it a lively, expressive presence. Available in machined aluminium or injection-moulded plastic, the perforated body serves as both a functional grille and a nod to retro detailing.
The Opportunity
Portable speakers often fade into the background; efficient, but forgettable. The challenge was to create a speaker that delivers on performance while also inviting interaction and sparking a sense of nostalgia.

By reimagining the Bluetooth speaker through the lens of a retro toy robot, Speaker Bot combines tactile engagement with modern audio tech. Its intuitive physical controls, the wind-up volume knob and arm-switch power, add personality and delight. Durable and compact, it’s designed to stand out on a shelf, travel easily, and make sound feel more human.
